Rainbow Bridge   is the place where our pets go when their bodies cannot go on any longer.  Some people say that we go to join them when our time comes.  Here are some of my own "fur-children" whom I remember fondly.

Booboo was the first cat who came into my life, a foundling, in August 1981.   Booboo was my soulmate and he saw me through a lot of life's changes.  He was a very affectionate and playful cat who lived to be sixteen and a half years old.
Harley was born on 17th March 1998.  Harley's pedigree name was Coonflakes Harley and he came to live with me on the same day together with Zoe and Poppy, the siamese sisters.  The reason for wanting a Maine Coon was because they are such great big cats who are calm by nature and who just look so regal.  In his prime, Harley grew up to be a big boy weighing well over a stone - 18 lb and when he stretched out, he could elongate himself to well over three foot.  I certainly knew when Harley was snoozing on top of the duvet.   Harley was much loved by all the girls and a great moral support to Suki, especially when she was expecting.   Sadly, Harley only lived until 29th November 2008.

Zoe was my first queen, who 'rejoiced' in the pedigree name of Adentam Jamimah Zoe.   Zoe was born on 9th February 1998.  Poppy is her litter sister.

Zoe had two litters, raising seven children in all.  Sadly, my darling girl didn't have a long life and left us on 11th September 2008 having suffered with a severe form of mammary cancer.  I shall always remember Zoe's determined spirit, her great affection and her love of following me about the house.  Here are a couple of images of her.

Today, Wednesday 28th July 2010, my darling seal point girl Poppy left this earth to play over rainbow bridge.  She had been suffering with an illness which the vets could not understand.  Except for the last six months, Poppy was always a very strong girl who had a great sense of humour and her lively character will be sadly missed in the house.  Poppy did not live a very long life when compared to many but then, I am grateful to have been able to share twelve and a half happy years with my gorgeous, affectionate, typically Siamese, Poppy.
